Description

The SNO RLBP (Réseau Large Bande Permanent) is part of the Action Nationale d'Observation en Sismologie and a Specific Action of the Résif-Epos Research Infrastructure (evolving into Epos-France in 2024). It focuses on the acquisition and distribution of seismological data from permanent broadband velocimetric stations in mainland France. These data are used by a large French and international community to conduct research on the structure of the globe, the analysis of earthquake sources and the estimation of seismic hazard in France, environmental seismology, etc. RLBP data also form the basis for operational monitoring of seismic activity in mainland France, notably by BCSF-RéNaSS and CEA-LDG. The RLBP brings together teams from 8 OSU (EOST, OSUG, OCA, OREME, OMP, OPGC, IPGP, OSUNA) and CEA, in charge of network development and maintenance (178 stations by the end of 2023) and data management as part of the "A node LB" of the Résif-Epos seismological information system.
